My mom and I met at the art museum on Mother's Day, because she's sort of artsy fartsy, and I thought she would like it. I packed a picnic and we perused the exhibits. I was feverish and not feeling well {good news is it's not allergies like I thought}, so I didn't take as many pictures as I normally do.
I could not get over how gorgeous the newer part of the museum is. I could sit in the sculpture gardens all day long.
The art was impressive as well. However, it is so hard for me not to touch the pieces, because I'm so tactile, but I refrained. The piece below was made of spools of thread, and it was one of my favorite pieces.
I have a maternity shoot here next week, and I hope to be feeling better, so I'll have many more pictures. I'm so proud of my state for such an amazing museum, and I'm pleased that my mom helped me cross off #5.
the picture with the mona lisa in the globe thingy is cool!! Glad you had a good time at the museum with your momma! Makes me excited for my momma's visit in a few weeks!

ReplyDeleteyay for not having allergies, but boo for not feeling well! i hope you feel betterrrr. ugh. allergies are miserable. i didn't think i had them, but this year apparently i do. not ok!
Hey Shannon- Yes, I do have a new pic of me on my blog. Mason took a few pics of me last night. I emailed it to myself so I could open it on my iphone and use the shake it photo app on it. I love that app. I wish I knew how to edit my photos like that!
